Director of Music Ministries - St. Raymond Parish in Dublin

Director of Music Ministries coordinates all choirs, English, Spanish, Adult, Youth and Children, trains cantors, works collaboratively with liturgical committee and pastoral staff planning liturgical celebrations, and will be the primary contact for music at weddings and funerals. Candidate will work with the children’s choir director and assist same at parish school liturgies. The qualified applicant should have a thorough knowledge of Catholic music and liturgy. Accompaniment skills are a plus, as is some Spanish.

Salary commensurate with experience and diocesan guidelines. This is a full time, exempt position.

Position begins late August.

Office and Facilities Manager - St. Augustine, Oakland

St. Augustine Catholic Church in Oakland is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented person for the position of Office and Facilities Manager. The position requires both organizational and people skills. Someone who loves the challenge of constant interchange with people will fit well since the Office/Facilities Manager is the first face and voice of the parish for homeless, people in need, visitors, and members. Tactical strengths, a “get-things-done” attitude and the ability to multi task are required. She/he will relish serving staff and parish needs and will show an ability to prioritize and execute. If you thrive on variety, love to learn, if you often find a better method to accomplish tasks and you keep it all organized, you will enjoy this challenge. You will balance predictable daily/weekly tasks (email, database, bulletin production, online calendar), periodic projects (bulk mail, event advertisement), and unexpected events (plumbing disasters). You will manage professional vendors for janitorial services and repairs. Loving to serve people, being a practicing Catholic, having knowledge of facilities, and experience with database and online calendar are essential to the position. Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.

Clinic Nurse Coordinator - Christ The Light Cathedral, Oakland

Needed in July, a Nurse Coordinator for the Order of Malta Oakland Clinic on Harrison & 21st Streets. Clinic opens in October. Job is part-time to full-time. Current R.N. California License Required. Spanish capability helpful. Needed now to develop policies, procedures, nursing protocols, interview volunteer staff, establish staffing schedules, organize supplies, set up medical records and systems, and other duties as may arise to open clinic. When clinic opens, will coordinate staffing, provide clinical nursing, supervise medical staff, monitor supplies, maintain required statistics and logs, etc. Reports to Medical Director and Clinic Administrator. Volunteer Database Manager – Cathedral Docent and Ministerial Services, Oakland

The Cathedral of Christ the Light is looking for an experienced database manager to oversee the operation of its Volgistics volunteer database. The database will house the confidential information, assignments, and schedules of more than 300 volunteers. The manager will assist with data entry, maintain user-defined fields, audit data integrity, and produce regular reports and mailing lists. The manager will provide informal training to other volunteers.

Introductory training and Volgistics technical support and documentation will be available to the Volunteer Database Manager. The manager must, however, demonstrate mastery of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook along with relational database experience. Excellent communication skills, resourcefulness, patience and friendliness are a must, along with commitment to a code of conduct and strict confidentiality.

Part-Time (4-6 hours per week)
